Diagnosis: Acute Myelogenous Leukemia‎
Prognosis: 3 weeks to live or a 5-15% chance of survival.


My Story:
I was diagnosed with cancer at 15 years old, and was given 3 weeks to live. I have been given many struggles in life. I struggled in school with undiagnosed Aspberger's Syndrome. I battled the many aspects of cancer including high anxiety, extended hospital stays, and social stygma. I have battled all this and won! I am a survivor!

City Council Meetings

August 8, 2017 to Present

Brittany teamed up with Sam Abdelmessih’s charity, Gavins Galaxy, to try to have every city and state in the United States to declare September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Brittany has headed up the effort in Colorado, and has talked at so far at the Thornton, Denver, and Westminster City Council meetings. Check out the video section for videos of the meetings!

Thornton, CO – Proclamation - October 31, 2017

Brittany and Sam from Gavins Galaxy speak at the city council meeting in Thornton. Brittany and Sam received a proclamation announcing September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in Thornton for 2017. This was the first of several proclamations in various cities throughout Colorado and Texas. Brittany joined Sam Abdelmessih in taking on having every city, and state in America declare September as Childhood Awareness Month.

Colorado Today Radio Show October 23, 2017

Brittany and her Husband Patrick were guests on the Colorado Today Radio Show. Brittany spoke about the CureSearch walk event taking place that year at City Park in Denver, CO. Host Sean Carroll talks about cancer with her.
